Cloves are known by
their scientific name to some as Syzygium aromaticum and/or Eugenia aromaticum.
Note the base word "aroma" there. Cloves have a very distinct, and
pleasing, aroma - and flavor. They have been used for centuries to make foods
delicious and tempting in the air. Cloves are actually the dried buds of a type
of tropical evergreen. Cloves have been used for hundreds of years by millions
of people to do a lot more than enhance recipes though. In fact, cloves are
beneficial for a wide variety of healthy causes. Here are just a few of them:

The alleviation of general pain;

and so much more!

Cloves are great for far
more than enhancing the flavors of our favorite apple pies and hams. They help
us in many ways to live healthier, more pain-free lives. As a note, you may
want to avoid cloves if you have a known allergy to balsam. Oh yeah, many people
also claim that cloves eaten act as a powerful aphrodisiac.
