Scientific Name: Zingiber officinale

Origin: India

Ginger Root Powder is well regarded for being a great health enhancer, due to its laundry list of benefits and uses. From reducing cold and flu symptoms and helping to prevent ulcers to relieving nausea and even morning sickness, organic Ginger Root Powder truly is an herb amongst herbs. Many of these capabilities are actually derived from its natural oils, the most important of which is Gingerol, a compound that offers powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties when consumed.

A common ingredient in Asian and Indian cuisines, its striking and distinct flavor can be found in everything from curries and stir-fries to teas, juices and even desserts. So, no matter how you like to enjoy your organic Ginger Root Powder, this is one herb that deserves a spot or two on your pantry shelf.

Digestive Health

As an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, Ginger Root supplements aid digestion by easing tension within the lining of the stomach, thus helping our bodies better digest and absorb the nutrients in food. This process can also minimize the effects of nausea and help ease gastrointestinal conditions like bloating and constipation.

Pain Relief

Organic Ginger Root Powder’s anti-inflammatory properties have added benefit when combined with its mixture of essential vitamins and minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. As a general pain reliever, it can help to minimize pain throughout the body, especially when induced by exercise or strenuous activity.

Able to help limit the build-up of toxins in the body, Ginger Root supplements can strengthen our overall ability to resist bacterial and fungal infections. This rings especially true within the lymphatic and respiratory systems.

Healthy Facts

In addition to the benefits listed above, organic Ginger Root Powder is also a good source of carbohydrates, phosphorus, folate, niacin, and riboflavin. And with this laundry list of healthful compounds, Ginger Root supplements can also counteract motion sickness, lower blood sugars and minimize the risk of heart disease, and lessen the potential for high cholesterol and diabetes.

The typical recommended dosage of organic Ginger Root Powder is 1 - 3g, per day.

  • Luckily, it’s easy to mix into everything from sparkling beverages and juices to tonics, teas, and tinctures.
  • We recommend blending the Ginger Root supplement with honey and lemon for a delicious and healthful boost at breakfast.
  • For even faster intake, you can also make your own Ginger Root supplement capsules by utilizing one of our easy-to-use capsule filling machines.

A relative of such spices as Turmeric and Cardamom, Ginger Root is one of the longest trade spices in the world. Originating from the rainforests of southern Asia, it was considered a luxurious delicacy by much of the world. It was so popular in fact that by the 1st century, it had already been traded and re-cultivated as far as the Mediterranean. Eventually, Spanish travelers would introduce it into the Americas, while Portuguese merchants brought it to locations within West Africa.

Today, it’s still one of the most prominent ingredients in the world and can be found in everything from traditional medicines and smoothies to candies, lip balms, and desserts.

If stored correctly, our Ginger Root Powder has a shelf life of up to 2 years. To maintain its freshness, it is recommended to always reseal the bag after opening it and removing as much air from the bag as possible. Store in room temperature, away from any heat source or sunlight.

Ginger root powder

Absolutely love this in my smoothies. I was buying ginger root at the grocery store for this and they weren't always fresh. The powder is a great replacement. Just not sure yet on the exact amount to use...

Best way to make effective ginger tea. Much more practical and powerful compared to slicing or shredding the actual food product which rots quickly in some cases.
